Binding: The copper atom binds to the nitrogen in the histidine’s imidazole ring, the peptide backbone, and the lysine’s amino group, forming a stable, square-planar complex.
Formula: C₁₄H₂₂CuN₆O₄ or C₁₄H₂₄N₆O₄Cu (slight variations depending on salt form).
Molecular Weight: Approximately 403.93 g/mol.
Appearance: A blue solid or solution, with a characteristic blue color in water.

Storage Recommendation: Store at room temp in a dark, dry location for up to 6 months, in the refrigerator (in dry, dark conditions) for two years.
